The Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize 2015

Grønlandsbankens Business Fund has today – May 6, 2015 – awarded the fund’s Entrepreneur Prize to INUIT Quality Clothes of Greenland, represented by Hanne Kristiansen and Dorthea Rødgaard.
For a number of years, the Business Fund has awarded its Entrepreneur Prize to an individual or company who, through their work, has demonstrated particular drive, commitment, and remarkable initiative – and over time, recipients have come from various parts of Greenland and from different sectors of business.
The board of the Business Fund has chosen to award the Entrepreneur Prize 2015 to INUIT Quality Clothes of Greenland, represented by Hanne Kristiansen and Dorthea Rødgaard.
The prize includes a monetary award of DKK 25,000. Chairman of Grønlandsbankens Business Fund, Kristian Lennert, explains the decision:
– These two strong women are awarded the Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize 2015 because, as classic entrepreneurs, through skill, perseverance, and modern business sense, they have – in addition to their respective shops in Aasiaat, Sisimiut, and Qaqortoq – established a business in Nuuk and launched the now nationally recognized clothing brand INUIT Quality Clothes, says Kristian Lennert, and continues:
– With INUIT Quality Clothes, the two women have created a brand with a strong identity and connection to Greenland. A brand that combines the Greenlandic spirit with a contemporary expression, which they market with both edge and finesse – whether through print ads or, for example, social media, says Kristian Lennert.
