Grønlandsbankens Business Fund has today – November 4, 2016 – awarded the fund’s Entrepreneur Prize to Arctic Dream ApS, represented by Lars Anker Møller.

For a number of years, the Business Fund has awarded its Entrepreneur Prize to an individual or company who, through their work, has demonstrated particular drive, commitment, and remarkable initiative – and over time, recipients have come from various parts of Greenland and from different sectors of business.

The board of the Business Fund has chosen to award the Entrepreneur Prize 2016 to Arctic Dream ApS, represented by Lars Anker Møller.

The award includes a monetary gift of DKK 25,000.

Chairman of Grønlandsbankens Business Fund, Kristian Lennert, explains the board’s decision:

“The first time I met Lars Anker in Tasiilaq in 2010, it was clear that here was a passionate individual who was building a tourism business with his own unique niche. Far from the infrastructure and opportunities of the west coast, Lars Anker has cultivated a tourism company of his own with a range of offers aimed especially at the large Icelandic market.

With Arctic Dream ApS, Lars Anker has shown that tourism niches can be developed and create local activity and income. We in GrønlandsBANKEN’s Business Fund see this as an achievement that not only benefits Tasiilaq, but is also a real eye-opener for the rest of Greenland. We can create tourism and experiences, but it requires commitment, perseverance, and capability — exactly what Lars Anker Møller has demonstrated through his company, Arctic Dream ApS.”

It was a happy Lars Anker Møller who received the prize:

“I am proud of the award, and it’s always nice to be recognized for hard work. Starting your own business is demanding, but for me, it has been worth it. Now I’m looking ahead, and my company is entering an exciting time with new projects.”
