Grønlandsbankens Erhvervsfond has awarded the fund’s Entrepreneur Prize to INUACARE ApS, represented by Pipaluk Nielsen and Anne Mette Koustrup Nielsen, Qaqortoq.

For a number of years, the Business Fund has awarded its Entrepreneur Prize to individuals or companies who, through their work, have shown particular drive, commitment, and remarkable initiative – and over time, recipients of the prize have come from various parts of Greenland and from different business sectors.

The board of the Business Fund has chosen to award the Entrepreneur Prize 2023 to INUACARE ApS, represented by Pipaluk Nielsen and Anne Mette Koustrup Nielsen, Qaqortoq.

The award includes a monetary gift of DKK 25,000.

Chairman of Grønlandsbankens Erhvervsfond, Kristian Lennert, explains the board’s decision:

“Pipaluk and Anne Mette, through their company INUACARE, have succeeded in creating a Greenlandic skincare brand based on Arctic plants and herbs, which are handpicked in the Greenlandic mountains and then processed in their own laboratory.

The story of INUACARE highlights entrepreneurial initiatives where the company focuses on sustainability, both in the collection of plants and herbs from nature and in the development of packaging products in the form of bottles made from recycled plastic, boxes, and labels made from recycled fibers.

The company continuously seeks to challenge and develop the skincare industry by mapping knowledge about the beneficial effects of plants in skincare products, thereby gaining a broader understanding of their potential.

Since the family business started in 2014, significant development has taken place, and Pipaluk and Anne Mette have proven to be skilled entrepreneurs, showing great creativity in terms of product development, marketing, and finding new sales channels.

INUACARE serves as an inspiration for other entrepreneurs in Greenland, and with the Entrepreneur Prize 2023, the Business Fund wishes to encourage them to continue the good work of seeking new paths and striving to bring their products further out into the world.”

The prize was presented by GrønlandsBANKEN’s CEO, Martin Kviesgaard, on behalf of the chairman of Grønlandsbankens Erhvervsfond, Kristian Lennert.
