The Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize 2024

For a number of years, the Business Fund has awarded its Entrepreneur Prize to individuals or companies who have shown particular drive, commitment, and remarkable initiative – and over time, recipients of the prize have come from various parts of Greenland and from different business sectors.
The board of the Business Fund has chosen to award the Entrepreneur Prize 2024 to Ulloriaq & Paarma Kreutzmann, who have established Milak Productions ApS.
Ulloriaq Kreutzmann, alongside running a busy carpentry business and together with his wife Paarma, has established Milak Productions ApS, which locally produces dog food.
There is no doubt that starting this type of business in direct competition with large international brands is a challenge, but the initiative deserves recognition and the Greenland Bank Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize.
With your company, you are seizing the opportunity to make use of waste products from Neqi A/S, Polar Seafood Greenland A/S, and Halibut Greenland A/S, with the goal of creating an economically and environmentally sustainable domestic production.
Thus, your initiative includes many of the key elements required to develop new industries in Greenland. You are applying your current knowledge as business owners in a new value-chain collaboration with other companies. At the same time, you are refining a waste product and increasing sustainability both in your own product – dog food – and indirectly in the operations of your partner companies.
Furthermore, you have shown great creativity and perseverance in developing the business and in communicating the company’s purpose.
Milak Productions ApS and the couple Ulloriaq & Paarma Kreutzmann serve as an inspiration to other entrepreneurs in Greenland, and with the Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize 2024, we wish to offer encouragement to continue the important work of establishing a local, sustainable production.
