New tourism loan from Grønlandsbanken at 0% interest for the first year aims to promote the desire to operate tourism businesses throughout Greenland

Greenland boasts beautiful nature and unique experiences that many people dream of having. However, for tourism in Greenland to develop further, it requires support and engagement from the entire community. Grønlandsbanken is dedicated to promoting the tourism industry and ensuring that tourism businesses receive the necessary support to succeed.

A push in the right direction
Grønlandsbanken offers a loan within the tourism industry, designed to help local tourism businesses establish and grow. This loan allows businesses to pay 0% interest in the first year, giving them a solid start on their journey toward success.

“The bank offers not only an affordable loan but also expert advice to ensure that businesses incorporate sustainability and profitability into their business model. This means that tourism companies must not only grow economically but also take responsibility for the environment and society,” states Business Director, Søren Stenberg.

Grønlandsbanken works to promote growth and development throughout Greenland, and by supporting local initiatives, a positive impact can be made on the community and economy of Greenland.

The tourism loan is designed for individuals and businesses operating a local tourism enterprise covered by the tourism act. Newly established businesses are also a significant part of the target group, as the loan provides the opportunity to expand or initiate new activities, potentially in collaboration with other stakeholders.
