Grønlandsbankens Erhvervsfond has today, May 22, 2025, awarded the Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize to Tupârnak Bernth-Andersen, SCAN INUK ApS.

The Business Fund has for a number of years awarded its Entrepreneur Prize to individuals or companies who have shown particular drive, commitment, and remarkable initiative – and over the years, recipients of the prize have come from different parts of Greenland and from various business sectors.

The board of the Business Fund has chosen to award the Entrepreneur Prize 2025 to Tupârnak Bernth-Andersen, who has established SCAN INUK ApS.

The prize includes a monetary gift of DKK 25,000.

The chairman of Grønlandsbankens Erhvervsfond, Kristian Lennert, explains the selection:

“Tupârnak Bernth-Andersen, as the first sonographer in Greenland, has realized her dream of establishing her own business offering pregnancy scans for expectant parents in Greenland who wish for an option of additional examinations beyond what is offered in the public healthcare system.

With your company, you have seized the opportunity to supplement your professional expertise as a midwife and turn it into a business. At the same time, you are strengthening the healthcare offerings in Greenland by linking experts from Rigshospitalet with DIH/Sana, so that the scans are also complemented by guidance for expectant parents in their own language.

Furthermore, you have shown inspiring creativity and perseverance in the development of the company.

You serve as a role model for other entrepreneurs in Greenland, and with the Business Fund’s Entrepreneur Prize 2025, we wish to give you encouragement to continue your good initiative.”
