Payments to and from abroad

If you need to transfer money abroad, you can do so by sending the order via Online Banking.

If you are receiving payments from abroad, the sender must send the transfer to the SWIFT code GRENGLGX. You need to provide the sender with your personal IBAN account number. You can find your IBAN account number in the top right corner of your account statement.

If you do not use Online Banking, you can contact your advisor.

 

Requirements from U.S. authorities for transfers abroad

When transferring money abroad, you should be aware that information may be passed on to U.S. authorities.

SWIFT, which processes the payments, has been required to disclose information if they suspect the financing of crime or terrorism, according to U.S. law.

SWIFT is a Belgian data network that processes payments between countries. The network has approximately 8,000 financial institutions in 206 countries registered and has data centers in Europe and the U.S.

SWIFT stands for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication.
